What is GRID I/O best known for?
Grid I/O is best known for our security research, and open source initiatives such as opendnp3. We have productized our protocol security knowledge into our flagship product, the Aegis fuzzing platform which can find hidden defects in a growing number of protocols used in the industry. Behind the scenes, we create happy customers through our software services engagements.
What kinds of customers does GRID I/O work with?
We work with utilities and the vendors that serve them. We have broad experience in many subdomains such as SCADA, distribution automation, and emerging applications such as microgrids. Our customers range from international Fortune 500 companies with large R&D budgets all the way down to small startups.
How does GRID I/O manage their projects with clients?
Project management largely depends on the needs and established practices of the client. Some clients already have good software engineering management practices in place and just seeking to augment their staff with some domain expertise or boost development for a project. Other clients don’t have any permanent software engineering staff and benefit from a broader set of services including scoping, iteration planning, continuous integration, and maintenance.
